Leather pretreatment
① Material selection
Natural leather (such as top layer cowhide) or synthetic leather (PU, microfiber leather) should be selected according to cost and wear resistance requirements.
The thickness is usually 0.5-1.2mm, and excessive thickness may affect the flatness of the bonding.
② Leather processing steps
Cutting: Laser or die cut according to the shape of the shell, leaving a margin for edge wrapping (such as 3-5mm).
Back treatment: Polish the back of the leather material or apply a primer (such as polyurethane primer) to enhance the bond with the adhesive.
Surface treatment: embossing, printing (if special textures or logos are required).
The key to hot pressing leather lies in:
Pre treatment of substrate and leather (cleaning, roughening, primer).
Adhesive selection and coating process (matching material characteristics).
Optimization of hot pressing parameters (temperature, pressure, time).
Post processing and quality inspection (trimming, weather resistance testing).
By controlling process parameters, high-quality and high-yield leather bonding products can be achieved.
