What is the difference between liquid silicone (LSR) and solid silicone (HTV)?
Form: LSR is a liquid two-component (A+B) that needs to be mixed and injection molded; HTV is a solid rubber material that needs to be molded or extruded.
Sulfurization method: LSR is rapidly cured by heating (platinum catalysis), while HTV requires a longer vulcanization time (peroxide or sulfur system).
Application: LSR is suitable for high-density thin-walled parts (such as pacifiers and seals), while HTV is suitable for thicker products (such as silicone pads and buttons).
